Rental Policy & Terms

1. Vehicle Condition & Responsibility

  • Condition: By accepting the vehicle, the Client acknowledges that it is in good working order and appearance.

  • Client Responsibility: The Client assumes full responsibility for the vehicle, its security, and its condition from the time of handover until it is officially returned to Langkawi Tropical.

2. Usage & Compliance

  • Prohibited Use: The vehicle must not be used for any illegal activities. The Client is fully liable for any misuse that leads to vehicle confiscation, damage, or legal issues.

  • Traffic Offenses: The Client is solely responsible for all traffic fines, summons, or offenses incurred during the rental period.

3. Insurance & Excess

  • Our insurance coverage is subject to an excess fee. This excess amount is payable by the Client in the event of an accident or damage to the vehicle during the rental period:

    • Luxury Cars: RM 10,000

    • MPVs/Vans: RM 5,000

    • Standard Cars: RM 3,000

  • The Client is liable for any damage caused by negligence or accidents during the rental period.

4. Rental Rates & Late Returns

  • Rental rates are calculated on a 24-hour basis.

  • Late Return Fees:

    • Luxury Cars: RM 40.00 – RM 50.00 per hour

    • MPVs/Vans: RM 20.00 per hour

    • Standard Cars: RM 10.00 per hour

  • Note: All rates are in MYR and are subject to change without prior notice.

5. Driver Requirements

  • Age:

    • Standard Cars: 20 – 65 years old.

    • Luxury Cars: 22 – 65 years old.

  • License: A full, valid national or International Driving License is required. We do not accept probationary licenses.

  • International Guests: Valid English driving licenses are accepted for up to 3 months (subject to local regulations).

6. Payment & Booking Policy

  • Payment: We accept Visa and MasterCard (Credit/Debit) for online bookings. Please note that third-party cards are not accepted; the card must belong to the authorized renter. We are a cashless service—cash transactions are not accepted.

  • Cancellation: To be eligible for a refund, cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled rental start date. Bookings canceled within 48 hours are non-refundable.
